So, we all know that when each new season’s collection is debuted on the catwalk there are some incredible style trends that only the very brave or bold could pull off on an average day/night out. It’s the same with bridal trends. On the catwalk we see some fabulous creations but we’re not entirely convinced that they would be right for our bridal boutique here in Solihull, or the beautiful brides who visit us when planning their big day.
For example, this Chanel haute couture gown we featured on our Instagram a few days ago. Spectacular, but not entirely sure we would sell many of them!
Therefore, we have picked 6 of our favourite, and what we consider to be most wearable trends, for brides in 2017. We’ve also given a few examples from the many wedding dresses we stock here in Birmingham, for you to have a look at.
1. High Neck
There are a variety of style of high neck wedding dresses. Illusion neckline, high halter neck, or even high neck with sleeves. With so many varieties available this is most definitely a trend that could flatter many a bride. Also a big hit for any brides who may be a little conscious of their décolletage.
2. Off the Shoulder
We love the off the shoulder look! It can be so playful and fun, but also sexy and incredibly sophisticated.
3. Long sleeves
The stunning wedding gowns we’ve featured under this trend also cross over into the off the shoulder category so you can kill two birds with an incredibly beautiful stone!
4. One shoulder
We have a number of one shoulder dresses but we also have an incredibly talented seamstress here at Lisa Rose Bridal. So if you fall in love with a wedding dress and want to add the one shoulder detail, you can rest assured that your dress customisation wish, is our command!
5. Deep v-neck
The question here is, how low will you go! There are some very plunging necklines available for the more confident bride, but if you are slightly more conservative then fear not… an illusion neck or decorative detail can evoke the same effect with the security of a little more coverage.
So many of our dresses are available in a variety of colours, with blush being a firm favourite. This trend is also a really nice way to break from tradition slightly… you can have the most traditional style wedding dress but in a blush tone, bring it right up to 2017 with a bang.
