This week we’re back with another of our ‘Interview With’ posts. This post features the lovely Tanya wearing Teal by Sophia Toilli, and Tanya was lucky enough to get to wear her dress twice! After marrying Matthew in Bali on 11th August, they celebrated with their family and friends at their UK wedding reception on Friday 26th August, and it looks like they had an absolute blast… Oh, and the big white wedding bouncy castle?!! Amazing!!
Tanya & Matthew Finnemore (nee O’Neill)
Married Thursday 11th August 2016
We actually got married in Bali and then we came home and had our wedding reception at New Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield in the UK. Both totally different but both very special and amazing in their own ways. I will include pictures of both, as it was just me and my husband who went to Bali, and then when we came home that’s when we had our bridesmaids and best men.
I’m so sad it’s all over, but the experience was something else. Truly amazing. And I got to wear my dress twice – woo!
Why did you choose your gown? Was it everything you dreamed of and more or was it an unexpected choice? What accessories did you choose? Who was your bridal consultant?
Where to start with my dress!! As soon as I tried it on, I knew instantly it was the one. Every single detail on it was just perfect. I felt amazing in it. It’s true when they say, ‘when you find ‘the dress’ you just know’, I can promise you this is so, so true! I didn’t actually choose this dress, it was Sandra from Lisa Rose Bridal who recommended it. It was a Sophia Tolli wedding dress – Teal, and it was on display on the Mannequin, I just went with it. And I am so happy I did, because it was ‘the dress’. The experience was made by all the girls at Lisa Rose. The shop itself has so much character and is so fairytale like. My bridal consultant was Sandra and without Sandra I wouldn’t have the dress today. I had a little set back but Sandra was there, and she was so supportive with no pressure. I went back and forth a few times because of this set back, but the girls were amazing, and didn’t make me feel a pain or nuisance, which was so lovely of them. Then it was with them that I made my decision, because I couldn’t stop thinking about the dress and the way I felt in it – it was mine.
Where did you buy your bridesmaids dresses from and what colour were they?
I got my bridesmaid dresses from Little Mistress, I chose bright pink as I waned a real tropical burst of colour!
What did your groom wear and who supplied his and his groomsmens outfits?
I bought my husband his suit for the wedding as his present, it was a Ted Baker Lounge suit. And we hired the same suit for the best men.
Who supplied your flowers?
My friend Jackie Perks’ mum did my flowers and they were stunning!
Who was your photographer and how did you choose them?
My Photographer was Lisa Carpenter. This was something I wanted to be perfect as I knew the photos would be the only thing to have to look back on the day, so I did a lot of research. Lisa was amazing, and the photos, I think, speak for themselves. Very, very happy with them.
Where did you get married?
We got married in Bali, Ubud.
Who were your shoes by?
Why did you choose Lisa Rose for your wedding gown?
Why did I choose Lisa Rose for my dress? Where do I start?! The fairytale converted church, the staff, every single one of them were truly amazing. Sandra making me feel so welcome, she was so supportive and genuinely lovely. I would highly recommend to all future brides.
Any top tips for future Brides shopping for their wedding gown?
Go with your heart. Listen to your consultant – she knows what she’s talking about! And go with the dress that you can’t stop thinking about.
