Bridal make up should bring out the brides best features, and make them look the most beautiful version of themselves.
Well ladies what can I say other than let’s talk make up !!! So what kind of bride are you ? Are you a classic bride, vintage bride a boho bride or even a beach bride. This week I want to give some help and advice on achieving the perfect make up look for you.
I’ve have had some wonderful advice from an extraordinary make up artist Allison Tye. Allison has made over a hundred brides look their best on their big day and has been kind enough to share her tips, her aim is that the bride has what she wants whether it be a natural classic polished look or a more glamorous look! Whatever they choose, the bride can be certain they have professionally applied make up that lasts all day and looks amazing on camera.
If you are a boho bride your look can be achieved by soft pretty shades, keeping the colour palette natural and pretty with just a pop of brightness on the lips or cheek.
Vintage/ glamour brides who want to look a bit more daring and fantastic on camera should go for a bright red lip with a perfect line of black liner and gorgeous lashes. The bright lips and clean eyes compliment each other perfectly.
Classic brides aim should be about enhancing there natural beauty with a gorgeous classic look that won’t date.
Now if you are having a wedding abroad in the heat then things slightly change. We need to keep you looking sexy not sweaty. We do not want to have you panicking that your going to look shiny in your photos. The first thing is to take care of your skin a good base is vital. I have spoken with a Mac Make up Artist to find out the best products to use. As I had my wedding abroad and used Mac I can honestly say their advice was spot on.
Firstly Apply Studio Moisture Fix SPF 15 lightweight moisturizer to clean skin. This provides broad spectrum UV protection and allows hydration to be delivered to your skin ensuring your skin stays conditioned all day. Follow with Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 primer as not only does it protect skin, it’s featherweight oil-free primer creates a soft focus effect on minimize the appearance of imperfections and helps foundation wear longer. The invisible formula has a lotion-like texture which feels weightless on the skin. Follow with The Face and Body Foundation. This gives a ultra-natural look and provides sheer, lightweight coverage which is ideal for beach makeup. This professional, oil-free formula provides a long-lasting, water-resistant finish. Be sure to Conceal just where you need to with Select Cover-Up liquid concealer. This gives you medium coverage with a natural finish. It evens your skin tone and won’t settle into fine lines around the eyes.
Finally finish off with a light dusting of Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. It’s a lightweight, colourless powder that works with any skin tone. This finely milled powder creates an invisible, soft-focus veil on the skin to minimize shine and set makeup.
There you go the perfect look for a beach ready bride. If you wanted to follow on with MAC here’s some fab products I’d suggest for your colour scheme.
Eyeshadows lustre eyes shadow in Honesty, satin eyeshadow in Shroom and matte eyeshadow in Texture blend great together. With a touch of Rubenesque paint pot over your lids as a base
To compliment these shades on your eyes apply sheer tone blush to the apples of your cheeks.
Finally finish your look with lined lips in Boldly Bare Lip pencil and fill in with Clingpeach Pro Lip colour.
And there you have the perfect beach bride face!!
