Spring weddings to me, evoke images of rural venues, wildflower bouquets, warm sunlight and dancing under the stars. I know that may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there is something about spring welcoming new life that just seems to work with the more ‘natural’ style of wedding.
With all these incredible images in my head, I thought it only fitting to put together another of our inspiration posts, this time for Spring weddings. Hopefully you will find some inspiration, sparking ideas you might not yet have had. Alternative options for your perfect spring wedding. Take a look and let us know what you think!
There are some stunning flowers in season during spring in the UK. And of course, sourcing flowers that are in season in your home country will always be better for your budget than selecting more exotic blooms that need to be imported from afar. Anemone, hydrangea, peonies, lilac, tulips, hyacinth and ranunculus are just a few that can make for spectacular spring wedding bouquets.
If ever there was a season to don fresh flowers in your ‘do’ then spring it is. You can be as bold as can be with a full on floral crown, or tone it down with a scattering of delicately placed blooms. Not keen on the fresh flowers? How about a simple yet stunning headband, some cute butterfly clips or floral chandelier earrings?
With the lighter nights and warmer weather creeping in, now is the time to start thinking about a venue that will make the most of all the beauty spring has to behold. Of course, with the British weather being as unpredictable as you can possibly get, and spring being well known for its showers, it may well be worth playing a little on the safe side. Consider venues that can offer a taste of the outdoor but with the security of a roof 😉
With the colder months on their way out, but the real warmth not quite having established itself, spring offers a whole host of options when it comes to wedding dresses. The heavier fabrics and more structured gowns are still entirely wearable. Whilst at the same time, the lighter fabrics and more free flowing styles are also ideal, with the option of adding a cover up if the temperature does turn cooler. Here are some gowns that we stock, that I think are ideal for a spring wedding…
Hopefully we’ve inspired some new ideas for your spring wedding… or at the very least, helped pass the time with some pretty pictures 😉
Wishing you all the best with your wedding planning, and if you’ve not yet found the dress of your dreams, make an appointment with Lisa Rose Bridal and we’re confident we can get you paired with ‘the one’.
