Back in September 2017 we introduced one of our beautiful brides – Alexandra. Who when she purchased her wedding dress from us, was kind enough to agree to share her journey to the aisle here on our little corner of the world wide web. Our last instalment was posted on Friday 15th June – The day Alexandra was to marry her husband to be – Yousef, on the beautiful island of Cyprus.
We are absolutely delighted to have Alexandra back today for the final instalment of the series, where she shares her incredible wedding day with us. If you want to reacquaint yourself with how the story began, you can see the full series here. Without further ado, let’s hand over to the now Mrs Alexandra Odeh!
Yousef and I arrived at the Elysium Hotel Paphos on June 10th 2018. After a fantastic few days with family and friends who were arriving daily to celebrate our wedding day, I woke following a lovely evening with my maid of honour Dee. I was so excited and couldn’t believe my wedding day was here!
Starting the day, Dee and I had a coffee and sat outside on the terrace talking about our excitement for the day ahead… Shortly afterwards my mom and aunt arrived to share my last breakfast as a single woman.
One by one my bridesmaids arrived and also my friend Louise, who was doing my hair and makeup.
My mom and sister in law arrived back at the villa and after a lot of hugs, we waited for my dad to arrive to walk me to the chapel on his arm.
Just before 6pm my dad arrived to collect me to walk me down the aisle to the beautiful chapel at the Elysium, this was a very emotional moment for everyone, I was so happy, nervous and excited all at the same time.
We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and mingled with our guests before heading off to our photo shoot around the hotel grounds and on the beach.
Once we had finished the sunset photos around 8pm, we made our way back to the reception where we joined our guests for the wedding breakfast and cake cutting.
As we walked into the ballroom as Mr and Mrs Odeh, I couldn’t believe my eyes, the room looked fantastic, my mom had added some surprises for us and the room was beautiful… capturing the theme I had envisaged perfectly – if not even better.
After a superb dinner, speeches and toasts, the videographer asked us to head back onto the library terrace for one last shot. As we stood outside, a spectacular surprise fire work show started which my parents had organised. We couldn’t believe it, what a wonderful surprise.
We were all so excited by the fireworks, and everyone returned to the ballroom with excitement ready for our first dance.
Then it was party time!!
The whole day from start to finish went so smoothly…all of the hard work planning the day was so worth it, the day could not have been any more perfect and it really was the best day of my life.
My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our time in Cyprus and our wedding day, and are so looking forward to our future together. And want to extend a big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our day so very special.
Oh Alexandra, it looks like you had the most perfect day. You both look absolutely stunning and we want to say a huge thank you for letting us share your journey to the aisle.
On behalf of all of us here at Lisa Rose Bridal, and all of our readers – We wish you all the very best for your future together.
